Kingdom Monera categorized as a kingdom comprising the whole of prokaryotic organisms, namely all kinds of living things that do not have a membrane or membrane core. So that the common traits Kingdom Monera:
- Including prokaryotic cell body.
- Body structure is very simple, generally unicellular.
- Nothing is Autotrophs and Heterotroph.
- Anaerobic or aerobic metabolism.
- Habitats on land, water or air.
- Breeding mostly vegetatively.
- Most members do not move.
Scope Kingdom Monera
Kingdom monera divided into three groups, namely, archaebacteria, eubacteria and Cyanophyta (Cyanobacteria).- Archaebacteria: Group of ancient bacteria that live in extreme habitats such as hot springs and salt lakes. Often called primitive bacteria and is suspected as the first living things appeared on earth.
- Eubacteria: The group of bacteria that are more complex / perfect when compared to archaebacteria, often also called the true bacteria or bacteria that actually.
- Cyanophyta: Often also called blue-green algae are organisms whose characteristics are more like bacteria than the characteristics of algae (algae), so often called Cyanobacteria.
